Crusade Day 1: The Choice of God
2 Chronicles 6:1-6,
1 Then said Solomon, The LORD hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. 2But I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling forever. 3And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood. 4And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth to my father David, saying, 5Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel: 6but I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
Acts 7:43-50
44Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen. 45Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David; 46who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob. 47But Solomon built him an house.
48Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
49Heaven is my throne,
And earth is my footstool:
What house will ye build me? saith the Lord:
Or what is the place of my rest?
50Hath not my hand made all these things?
God does not live in structures made with human hands, or shelter. He chose the heart of man to be His dwelling. And with that He demands we present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Crusade Day 2: Choices
Ephesians 5:1-10
1Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
From the time you’re born and began to attend Sunday school, all the way to the age of puberty, thereabout 12 years, as a child you’d be the first one to call mom and dad and to remind them that it’s time to go to church.
From the age of twelve, your choices began to take center stage, choosing if to attend church or when you don’t fill like, that’s at the age of puberty.
From the age of 12 years, you more or less began to be able to choose between right and wrong and indeed, you began exercising the freedom to choose and what you want.
Today people won’t endure sound doctrine. They live under perverted “My ‘choice’ my choice”. That’s why even churches choose to do as they please no matter how what they do contradicts the bible. Riding under the tagline “But my church says this…”
Forget the choice of a government, a church, a pastor or whomever that at the slightest contravenes the bible.
Churches today ordain even women as elders, disregarding the instructions of the very God they claim to serve, but that’s not for the Living church of Christ.
1 Timothy 3:1-2
1This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
But as they said, “every choice has a consequence” and indeed as a Christian, every choice or decision you make either draws you closer to God or takes you further from Him.
Some of the choices young men and women make will lead us to our discussion tomorrow, day three.
Crusade Day 3: Additions – But when in Christ…
Jeremiah 6:16
16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. 17Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
Everything in life is a process and as we spoke yesterday, the choices we make especially bad can lead you into addiction. Our choices towards God also leads us not into and addition but a life of being sold-out completely to God, as Paul would say, “a prisoner of Christ”
Today we’re comparing the steps into additions and the steps into being a prisoner of Christ.
Additions into Drugs or Habits | Addition to Christ – Being sold-out to him |
Experimental This is the initial state where you try a substance a drug or a habit. While experimenting a perceived ‘positive outcome’ (for instance relief from stress or social acceptance) outcome can easily push you into further stages | Hearing the True Gospel This the first time you hear the true unadulterated gospel, the original word of truth that connects with the desire God instilled in man to have a true relationship with God, this sends you to desires more of him, sending you to next stage Ephesians 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation-having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, |
Social At this stage of addition, the use of substances or drugs gets you feeling elevated or fitting into a social class feeling socially accepted or fitting among peers | Fellowship While in Christ, you will desire to be with a people whom have had of the same gospel of truth as you have and to join a fellowship as in Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. |
Manipulation This is a stage that’s very close to addition. Here one tends to prioritize drug user over other facets of life with psychological cravings towards the substance | Led – by the Holy Spirit While is Christ, there is no manipulations, but rather He leads you by the power of the Holy Spirit. Leading not manipulating. Galatians 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. |
Addition This is the final stage of addiction and puts one in state of include continued use of drugs habits regardless of the negative impacts to physical and mental health. | No Longer I, But Christ in Me While in Christ, like Paul, you become a slave to Christ, it’s no longer you living but Christ, It is that stage in which “What can separate us from the Love of which in in our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:31-39” |
Crusade Day 4: Questions and Preaching
Q1. You said that Christmas has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus and indeed it’s pagan celebration. If then Jesus was not born on December 25th… When was He Born?
In the events preceding the birth of Jesus,
- Caesar Augustus was born 63 BC his great uncle was Julius Caesar (famous for I came, I saw, I conquered) the expression could be familiar to you through his famous statement “I came, I Saw, I Conquered”
- Caesar Augustus issues a decree on census forcing Joseph and Mary to head from Nazareth to Bethlehem (where Jesus was ought to be born) Luke 2:1-5
Luke 1:26-33 The Angel Visits Mary
26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Jesus Christ wasn’t born on the 25th of December! He couldn’t have been in Judaea; the hills are full of snow in December.
He born in April when all nature comes forth which aligns with the 6th month of the year in which the angel visited Mary. Today, it’s just a tradition a pagan celebration as we detail how it came to be below.
First, in today’s world Christ is not in Christmas at all. It’s a pagan holiday clothed to be Christian holiday which the people have turned in to buying drinking parties, gambling, fornication, and morally decayed fashions. The beer manufactures among others sell more through Christmas time can live to sell the rest of the year almost. It’s such a great commercial holiday not religious at all.
How did it begin, in summary…
It was in the year 350 A.D. that Pope Julius I declared that Christ’s birth should be celebrated on December 25.
Specifically, December 25th was the Victory Festival of the “SUN-God” in the pagan Babylonian world. In the ancient Roman Empire, the same celebration can be traced back to the Roman festival called “Saturnalia”, which honored Saturn, the harvest god, and Mithras, the god of light. They held the circus during this time of the year. Both festivals were celebrated during or shortly after the winter solstice, between the 17th and 23rd of December.
Q2. Was Mary the mother of Jesus
We are born in sin, shaped in iniquity and come to this world speaking lies. Sinners already condemned from inception.
To redeem man, a Son a Male child had to be born, and not any other male child or born in a way that we are born, but from the spoken word, the perfect way God had ordained man to be born.
A child, yes, born to us but…a Mighty God
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
It had to this way to ensure, to man’s seed, or egg but purely the original seed, the spoken word of God.
Mary just but a vessel God used and an incubator, but that which was in him…the bible say Luke 1:34-35 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore, also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
God, Jehovah does not need a woman ovum or a man seed to get himself born to us as a Kingsman redeemer. The slighted donation of mans seed or ovum would have rendered him a sinner just like we’re born.
So Mary was an Incubator, a carrier of that which God created in her.
The days of man born of a woman are few and full of trouble.
Watch Closely the following events…
Mary carrying Jesus in the womb is like you carrying a bible in your hands, even a pagan can carry the bible, but Jesus is carried in the heart and that’s why…
Mary had to tarry on Jesus to be born of the man! Yes, the right birth, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit together with the apostles in the upper room.
You’re still hanging on the Pagan belief that Mary is the mother of God? Look…
Hebrews 7:1-4 KJV
1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
After Mary was born of the man Jesus Christ, the almighty God she never called Jesus my son again but called him, Jesus…My Lord and Saviour
All through Jesus’s life, He never called Mary Mother, always said “You Woman” …and said
Matthew 12:48-50 (KJV)
But He answered and said unto him that told him, who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
The word always corrects…Jesus as the Cana of Galilee – Wedding
John 2:1-4 KJV
1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, they have no wine.4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
Jesus at the Cross
John 19:25-27 KJV
25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! 27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved… (who was that? John (the disciple) St. John, Apostle John the only one of the twelve who was not martyred and also and who stood at the foot of the cross with Mary during the crucifixion. The Apostle John, his brother James, and Peter were the only three invited with Jesus to the mountain where the Transfiguration would occur.)
